Dec. 5, 2004

I woke up very late today and was supposed to meet Alex for lunch at his hostel. I tried calling but didn't know enough Spanish to understand the lady on the phone. So I was an hour and a half late for lunch. A lady in his hostel made chicken with vegetables and it was really nice. After that we went to Puerto Madero, which is a boardwalk along a river ( I think). It was more walking but worth it. It wasn't particularily pretty, but it has a nice atmosphere of 'No cars!' Shops and restaurants are overpriced, but we found a nice place where a sandwich with salad and a pop was about ten pesos (still overpriced for my books.)

That evening, Sarah, a few of her friends, and I went to a Chinese restaurant. I couldn't order in Spanish so I ordered in Chinese! Ha! I thought it was a hoot. The owner-lady loved me and gave Horacio, Sarah's boyfriend, a free pair of chopsticks. I ordered beef, stir-fried with rice noodles and bean sprouts. mmmm.....
