This second set of ruins were a bit more impressive. It took me about 2 hours to meander all around. It's basically a small pyramid structure and if I understood Spanish I could have figured out what it was for. From what I was able to interpret, it was a sacrificial site. Yes, they killed people here.
That evening when I got back, three of us decided to check out a karaoke bar half a block away from the hostel. We got in, ordered a beer each, and listened to one guy hogging the mike and crooning away to old Spanish love ballads. We didn't stay long.
