Saturday was spent almost entirely in bed, sick. Some sort of cold, I suppose. Although I was advised to keep this thought away from my out-loud voice... I'm sure I got the cold from the puddle water that got splashed all over me.
If I had not said it before, Buenos Aires sidewalks are COVERED in dog shit. People do not pick up after their dogs. So, one can only assume that as biological substances disintergrate, bacteria, germs, viruses and the like spread and grow (especially well in warm, humid and wet conditions). So, when it rains with the intensity like it does here, one part of the rain washes the streets, the other part remains and allows germs to fester.
Hence, I do believe I was infected by a drop of puddle water that somehow made it into my mouth. And the puddle water contained some type of dog shit ecoli virus buggies.
